Integrative Learning

Integrative learning connects theory to practice, and the classroom to the world. At Smith, students explore individual passions and develop innovative responses to society’s complex and interconnected challenges.

What does Integrative Learning at Smith look like?

Integrative learning spans disciplines and can happen within your major, minor, or concentration. It can take place through a workshop offered by one of our centers or initiatives, or during an internship or original research in our special collections. At Smith, you can collaborate with faculty and staff on independent and collaborative research and creative projects—with these resources, there are no limits on what you can learn, connect, and create.

Spring Showcases

Smithies are always up to something good! Each year, the spring semester offers a variety of chances for students to share their research, business ventures, art, or other projects from the academic year and previous summer. Check out how students are pushing the world forward in countless ways.
